Svalboard: Now with real-time keyboard remapping with Vial!
Live keymap GUI lets you remap without reflashing
I’m so hype about this:
Vial is an offshoot of QMK that enables real-time keymap changes without having to do any mucking about with reflashing your keyboard. All the nice stuff that Via did before (requiring reflash) is now trivial and 100% live.
This is super cool because it makes trying out and editing keymaps easy for anyone, not just super-user SW people — all you have to do is load the file for the layout you want to try. And you can share the tiny file with anyone if you want to let them try out what you’ve been using.
I am soooo thankful for all the amazing people who give their time to work on the free-open-source Vial project and have brought these capabilities to so many!
